Write-Up Procedures

First Ticket (1st):          The student will be suspended from riding all buses to and from school for one (1) day

Second Ticket (2nd):   The student will be suspended from riding all buses to and from school for two (2) days

Third Ticket (3rd):        The student will be suspended from riding all buses to and from school for three (3) days

Fourth Ticket (4th):     The student will be suspended from riding all buses to and from school for five (5) days

Fifth Ticket (5th):         The student will be suspended from riding all buses to and from school for ten (10) days

Sixth Ticket (6th):        Will be dealt with on an individual basis with input from the transportation supervisor and the principal (could be for the rest of the marking period or the remainder of the year).

  1. Bus tickets must be signed by the parent/guardian, and the white copy must be returned to the driver before the child can ride any bus. Signing the bus ticket indicates the parent saw the ticket and not that he/she necessarily agree with it.

  2. Bus suspensions only count when the student is in attendance at school.

  3. All tickets issued the last week of school will carry over to the following school year.

  4. Suspensions are to be served immediately when the ticket is issued

  5. Any vandalism or damage to a school bus may result in suspension from riding all buses to and from school for the remainder of the year, and the student will be charged for the cost of the repairs.

  6. Serious infractions can result in immediate suspension from riding all buses for up to the remainder of the school year or longer, based on the decision of the transportation director and building principal.
