This upcoming Monday, April 8th, a partial solar eclipse is forecasted to occur in our area. Awareness of the event and precautions to protect eyes have been and will continue to be discussed in classrooms and school buildings. The timing of the partial eclipse is such that it will be in the beginning phase at the time students are dismissed from school for the day. Solar eclipse glasses will be available for students in each building as students travel from school to home during the solar event. Our intention is to take advantage of the learning opportunity of a partial solar eclipse as is possible while also educating our students on how to be safe. We encourage parents to discuss the important topic of the dangers and appropriate precautions needed to be taken with their students.

The high school student council along with several other student leaders, attended the Jostens Renaissance event at Central Michigan University. Students were inspired by speakers and were given many new ideas on how to make a positive impact on our school culture and community!
Huge shout out to our community leaders from both the Rotary and Optimist clubs for sponsoring our transportation to this awesome event!
