This food distribution is for students ages 0 to 18, regardless of which school district they attend.
If you are collecting as a guardian on behalf of someone else, there must be an adult in the vehicle for each family. Two families equals two adults in the vehicle. You will get seven breakfasts and seven lunches, along with freshly picked sweet corn, locally processed apple cider, Country dairy half-gallon milk, tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, strawberries, and blueberries.
Even if your child attended Shelby Public Schools last year, returning student enrollment forms must be completed each school year.
Completing your forms before the first day of school helps ensure your student has a smooth start and prevents delays in receiving their Chromebook.
Why is annual enrollment important?
✅ Student Safety – Update allergies, medications, and other medical information so we can provide the best care.
✅ Emergency Contacts – Keep phone numbers, addresses, and emergency contacts current so you receive important notifications, including weather delays, school closings, attendance alerts, report cards, and other school communications.
✅ Residency Verification – Annual updates help the district meet state requirements and verify student residency.
✅ Planning Ahead – Enrollment information helps us prepare class sizes, staffing, transportation, and resources for the new school year.

Studies show that 59% of students that were distracted by cell phones scored 15 points lower on math tests. Not only did students score lower on math tests but 35% admitted to cheating their way through tests. We hope that having students keep their phones in their lockers during class time will foster more engagement and increase learning in every classroom.

📵 New State-Wide Cell Phone Policy at Shelby High School
Beginning this school year, Shelby High School will implement Michigan's new cell phone policy designed to create a more focused and engaging learning environment for all students.
What does this mean?
✅ Students may use their cell phones before school, during passing time, and at lunch.
❌ During instructional time: cell phones must be put away and cannot be on a student's person.
This policy is intended to:
📚 Increase student engagement and academic achievement.
🤝 Reduce distractions and promote meaningful classroom interactions.
💙 Support a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment.
We understand this is a change for many students and families, and we appreciate your partnership as we work together to ensure a successful transition. By minimizing distractions, we can maximize learning opportunities for every Tiger.
