If you plan on attending the Elementary open house this evening ... Please utilize the overflow parking lot located to the left, when you pull into our drive, off of Oceana Drive. We are expecting a full house tonight and want to make sure there is enough parking for everyone. We can't wait to see all of our Lil Tigers! Remember 4:30 to 6:00 pm!!!

Reminder Shelby Elementary parents: Tomorrow August 26 is our elementary open house from 4:30 PM until 6 PM. We are looking forward to seeing our students and their families tomorrow night at this event. If you haven't finished your school enrollment, we will have computers and staff available that can help you complete the online portion of your enrollment. All students must have the online enrollment completed before the first day of school, this helps us ensure that we have updated information for emergency purposes.

Shelby Public Schools Food Distribution
Thursday, August 6th 9:00am to 11:00am @ Shelby High School, 641 N State St, Shelby, MI 49455
This food distribution is for students ages 0 to 18, regardless of which school district they attend.
If you are collecting as a guardian on behalf of someone else, there must be an adult in the vehicle for each family. Two families equals two adults in the vehicle. You will get seven breakfasts and seven lunches, along with freshly picked sweet corn, locally processed apple cider, Country dairy half-gallon milk, tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, strawberries, and blueberries.

Tomorrow is our Walk-A-Thon day. The weather is going to be beautiful, so on that note , please remember to put sunscreen on your student in the morning. They will not be able to share at school and we will not have extra. Please remember to have them wear comfortable tennis shoes, they WILL be doing a lot of walking. They will also need to bring a water bottle with them. We look forward to spending another AMAZING walk-a-thon day with our Shelby Elementary students!

Summer Feeding Program 2026

Congratulations to our student artists Emersyn and Oscar for winning prizes at the Oceana Community Student Art Show this past weekend! Oscar won First Place in the 2D category for his Danger Duck art, and Emersyn won First Place in the 3D category for her Gino the Dino articulated stuffy. In addition, Emersyn also won the First Place People’s Choice Vote in her category! Congratulations on your huge accomplishment Oscar and Emersyn!

Our K–8 educators spent two powerful days learning together at the Solution Tree RTI at Work workshop, strengthening their skills and collaboration to help ensure every student gets the best support they need to thrive.

We are proud of our elementary and middle school teachers and their continued commitment to student success, growth, and learning. 💜🐯
