Responsibilities:

  • Works with regular classroom teachers to provide appropriate instructional and language services to English Learner students to help reach proficiency in English language development

  • Follows schedule set by principal and/or Title III Coordinator

  • Translate for students, parents and staff in Spanish during the school day and at parent-teacher conferences

Qualifications:          

·         Select production, audition cast, oversee rehearsals, direct production

·         Produce all stagecraft for production (build sets, select costumes, props, advertising, playbills, etc.)

·         Recruit, train, and manage stagehands for production

·         After production, return all materials, clean space, and select production for following year.

·         Work closely with building/school staff who may need to use the auditorium

·         Maintain a clean and neat workspace

·         Strong communication and organization skills

·         During musical productions, work closely with a co-director who will oversee musical numbers.

  • Knowledge of math and reading strategies to be used with At-Risk students.  Requires ability to collaborate with classroom teachers, and other interventionists to support the educational process of students
