Position: Migrant Program DRA Assessment Teacher/Coordinator

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • Elementary or Secondary Teacher Certification

  • Language Arts and/or Math certification preferred

  • ESL or Special Education Endorsed

  • Bilingual preferred, but not required

  • Communication, organizational, and people skills required

  • Possess patience, dedication, and have the ability to work well with students, teachers and with multiple grade levels  

  • Knowledge and understanding of the migrant lifestyle

 

Responsibilities:     

  • Administer the required DRA2 Assessments

  • Plan, organize, and provide instruction in small reading groups.

  • Use data to identify areas of academic/reading needs

  • Work with teacher to assist in using data to drive instruction

  • Maintain accurate records

  • Adapt curriculum to provide individual, small group, and/or remedial instruction as to meet the needs of individual students and subgroups of students.

  • Attend required teacher training in Grand Rapids in June
