Tim Reeves, Superintendent

January 10, 2018

Dear Community Members:

On December 18, 2017 the Shelby Board of Education voted unanimously to approve the contract of Tim Reeves as the new Superintendent of Schools.   Mr. Reeves will be replacing Dan Bauer, who will be retiring at the end of January 2018.

Mr. Reeves currently serves as the high school principal in Hamilton.  He also has administrative experience at the elementary and middle school level.  Mr. Reeves has been an administrator in the Hamilton Community Schools and Kellogsville Public Schools for over a decade.

Mr. Reeves is a graduate of Hope College where he received an undergraduate degree in business and a teaching degree.   His master’s degree is from Grand Valley State University in Educational Leadership.

“I am excited about the great opportunity to serve the Shelby Community.  They have a very solid tradition and, hopefully, through collaboration and hard work we can continue to move the school district forward as we keep our eye on student achievement.  I look forward to working with Mr. Bauer during the transition, along with the Board of Education, administrative team and staff as we move forward,” Mr. Reeves stated.

Tim Reeves will begin his duties on February 1, 2018.  His contract runs through June 2020
